Mission and values

We have developed our three core values in collaboration with staff and pupils in our assemblies. As a result, we have a shared understanding of our high expectations for all and have created a set of core values that everyone at the academy is invested in.

Our core values are:

Aspiration

We have high aspirations and expectations for both pupils and staff at Dixons Manningham Primary. We all aspire to be the best we can be.

We want our pupils to have the opportunity to choose their own future and not be limited. As such, we believe it is important to give our children the right start academically and socially whilst opening their minds to possibilities as yet unknown.

Our aim is to empower every child to take responsibility for their learning and challenge themselves to be the best that they can be.

Collaboration

Through collaboration we achieve more, we share the burden and we develop as a community. These are important aspects of our school. We promote collaborative learning where possible as this promotes key values such as respect, understanding, tolerance and acceptance of others.

We know that the best way to become successful is to co-operate and work well together. We all collaborate with one another to show respect.

We believe that collaboration is the key to ensuring our continued success and as such we work closely with our parents, the wider community, our academy group, as well as  other local partnerships.

Excellence

We aim for excellence in both learning and behaviour – anything less than this is not good enough. We expect every member of our school community to have good manners, consideration and respect for others, as well as demonstrate good learning behaviours.

We strongly believe that every child can be the very best version of themselves, and this is what we are striving for together.

Each day we all ask ourselves the question – “was I better today than yesterday?”
