Cycle 1 Spelling Bee

Students from years one to six had the opportunity to represent their classes in the first of our Spelling Bee competition assemblies this year. After many twists, turns and a few surprise entries from friends and teachers, a winner in year two was announced champion by our 'Spelling Angel.' 
Words that children spelled correctly included 'because' (year one), 'whole' (year two), 'accidentally' (year three), 'occasion' (year four), 'accommodate' (year five) and 'marvellous' (year 6) - all chosen by Mr. Hirst from the list of spellings children most frequently misspell. Outstanding achievement reaching such a high standard!
